Stop Fucking Up Social Media For the Rest Of Us

Social Media is rad – but there’s a reason it’s called SOCIAL and not just MEDIA. Stop ruining it for everyone else and start using it the way it was intended …

There are even people trying to make money by “teaching” you how to make money using social media. Where does it end?

  • Marina says:

I totally agree with what you are saying – but it all comes down to who you are following as to what you see. The thing I love about Pinterest is that I can choose which boards to follow within an individuals collection.
My kids birthday party pins are really popular (Dr Who cupcakes have the highest pins) and the people following those don’t follow my business stuff! Ironically – through Pinterest, I’ve picked up two clients!

interesting-cuz i had this insight a few months ago-exactly what you are talking about for my fb page-and yes you are abSOULutlely on the money-engaing people is where is all starts-anyone in successsful retail knows that but somehow….this did seem like media marketing until the light went off-thanks-great comentary

  • finally someone who knows what there talking about

  • Yes! Yes! I think you’ve got it!

  • Simon says:

Having to swear like a bogan to get your point across gives me the feeling you don’t know too much about what you are saying…..more content, less theatre…thanks….there you go, swearing again…

  • Leela says:

Life is theatre, “Simon” – I don’t HAVE to swear to get my point across. I choose to.

At the end of the day, you don’t like “theatre”, you have a problem with swearing = you’re not my client. That means, your opinion doesn’t matter.

The only people who get to vote are clients – and then, never with their words, only with their credit cards.

Mind you, there is no amount of money in the WORLD that would make me be other than who I am.

My content – my choice on how I deliver it.

  • Leela says:

You know, Bono, I really like your message, I just disagree with the way you deliver it, so stop singing and just deliver things the way I want you to. Love, someone who never has and never will buy an album from you.

Also, P.S. – I AM a bogan. I come from probably the most bogan suburb in Brisbane, Zillmere. I grew up in a housing commission estate. My father works in a factory. I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth – I’m proud of my working class roots and I’m proud of what I’ve managed to accomplish coming from that background – your elitism says more about you than it does about me.
